iOS 9.3.2 Beta 2 Enables Night Shift and Low Power Mode at the Same Time

·

Apple published second betas of all of its operating systems — OS X 10.11.5, iOS 9.3.2, watchOS 2.2.1, and tvOS 9.2.1. There are no new outward facing features that I’ve found so far, apart from one change in iOS.

iOS 9.3.2 beta 2 reintroduces the ability to enable Night Shift and Low Power Mode at the same time. You can turn them on both in any order in Settings. Night Shift can also be turn on via Control Centre.

While many people are really into Night Shift — users often say that it’s easier on the eyes — I cannot stand it. I never got into f.lux for OS X, and after testing Night Shift for a week or so, I disabled it. My device’s screen brightness has never bothered me, nor has it stopped me from sleeping. This might change in the future, but at this point in time I don’t plan to use Night Shift or f.lux.
