Apple released a new beta — the third one — of watchOS 2.2 yesterday, two weeks after beta 2. As it has always been required before, you will be able to update to the new watchOS beta through the Watch.app on your iPhone. Just go into General → Software Update. Your Apple Watch needs to be connected to a charger and has to have at least 50% battery life left.
What’s New?
- ability to pair multiple Apple Watches to one iPhone (carried over from beta 2)
- new Maps.app — new actions, Nearby search by Yelp (carried over from beta 2)
- more performance updates and bug fixes
I’m mostly curious when Apple will consider reworking the watchOS App Launcher — my eyesight isn’t bad, but sometimes its just hard to hit those tiny tap targets when out and about. I’d also love to see better touch response in various Apple apps, especially in Workout.app.
