I’ve had my iPad Pro for 16 day now. While most of it is what I expected, there is one area where it’s been significantly lacking, frustrating me to no end.
Of the sixteen days that I’ve had the iPad Pro, I have had to connect it to the charger fifteen times — I actually use it a lot. Unfortunately, there have been only three times when it correctly woke after disconnecting it in the morning. The other twelve times have resulted in me having to force restart it. This problem was acknowledged by Apple and they responded by suggesting to follow this support article:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
The iPad Pro went on sale on the 11th November 2015 — 25 days ago. That’s twenty five days without a fix for however many people bought one. Quite frankly, this is unacceptable and not the quality that I’ve come to expect from Apple over the years. I don’t doubt they’re working hard to fix this, but it’s been close to a month. At this point in time I’m starting to wonder if it’s not a hardware issue.
Dear Apple, please roll out a fix to address just this problem ASAP.
